How to repair broken auger flights?

Auger Flights are consumable parts, and different auger flights have different service lives. In terms of materials, there are carbon steel, manganese steel, stainless steel and other materials. The correspinding materials can be selected according to the different materials to be conveyed, Carbon steel is a common materials and can convey light and fine materials. Manganese steel auger flights have better wear resistance than carbon steel auger flights, they are used to convey granular or block materials with good wear resistance and long service life. Stainless steel auger flights not only have high  wear resistance, but also have certain corrosion resistance, they can be used in the food industry and the chemical industry.

Auger flights will constantly rub against the material during using, and will become thinner after a period of time. The thinning of auger flights is not uniform, because of the uneven force, some places remain the same, and some places become thinner or even damaged. At this time, it is nececcary to repair the damaged parts. Depending on the thickness of the blades, continuous auger flights or sectional auger flights could be selected. If it is one piece continuous auger flight, the thickness is relatively thin, you can put the corresponding length from one piece continuous auger flights, cut off the original damaged part with gas cutting, grind it with an angle grinder, and finally install the cut auger flight end on the spiral shaft and weld it firmly with an electric welder. If the spiral conveyor is welded by sectional auger flight, if a certain part is damaged, first cut the damaged part as long as possible, then measurn the length that needs to be repaired, and process the required sectional auger flight according tp this length. The finished sectional auger flight could be welded with the original spiral blade in turn.
